„Operation Christmas Child“

Also this year our lovingly wrapped shoe boxes started their journey again, for instance to Georgia, Romania and the Ukraine. We’d love to be there when the boxes get opened to look into the children’s bright eyes.

In a few weeks we will open the first door on the Advent calendar, light the first candle on the Advent wreath and then the exciting time of waiting will begin for many children.

Unfortunately, writing a wish list is not a matter of course for all children. There are many regions on earth where children live in need and there is no gift waiting for them on Christmas Eve.

But the world’s largest gift campaign, „Operation Christmas Child“ – or how we call it in Germany: “Christmas in a shoe box” – helps these children and ensures lots of happy faces at Christmas time.
